The minute Kelsey came into SHE’s life she brightened our world with her excitement for her wedding + her fun + positive attitude! It was a joy to bring to life Kelsey’s vision! For a girl that is positively colorful, it only made sense to bring color into her wedding day.
We immediately started working with Brandi at With Love Daily Designs on the perfect Save the Date (I think the views on Brandi’s Reel of the save the date are 1 MILLION and counting!). From there we moved to the beautiful watercolor invitations that incorporated Kelsey’s tasteful style but also including the colors of her wedding day.
Getting ready was a family affair as both Kelsey + Mason’s family rented out the entire Oakmont Inn for the weekend. As the girl’s got the makeup done by Marie Miclot Makeup and their hair done by JL Beauty Studio, the guys were downstairs testing out the pool tables.
Kelsey was a vision in her custom Rebecca Schoneveld wedding gown. Kelsey’s wedding gown originally had colorful stitched flowers on it, and though Kelsey wanted a colorful wedding, that didn’t apply to her gown. Thankfully, the designer was able to create the first ever custom dress with white flowers stitched throughout + custom sleeves for a little ceremony look flair.
One of my favorite moments from Kelsey + Mason’s wedding day happened very early in the day. I went to check in on Mason + his groomsmen + asked how he was feeling. Mason turned to me with a huge smile on his face + proclaimed “I’m so excited!!” It really warmed my heart. Below are some pictures of the excited groom looking dapper with his colorful floral pocket square. (I’d like to petition for all grooms to have a floral pocket square… because obsessed!)
Kelsey + Mason had a private first look before their ceremony. It was a special moment where they could exchange their handwritten cards to each other + get out those pre ceremony jitters. Did I mention how fun this couple was…I think their smiles + the surprise scratch off tickets really says it all!
After the ceremony, it was back to Oakmont Country Club for cocktail hour + reception. Cocktail hour was held in both the Oakmont living room + on the outside patio facing the golf course. For this Swiftie loving bride, we had to include the lyrics to one of her favorite songs to the seating chart + how fun is the detachable heart memorializing Kelsey + Mason’s wedding day.
The color continued into the ballroom with a mix of textured blue paisley + turquoise velvet linens on the round guest tables. Gorgeous tall arrangements + a mix of low + lush florals from Sapphire & Lace completed the tabletop flowers.
The real show stopper of the room was the ceiling to floor floral wrap of the Oakmont fireplace behind the sweetheart table + cake table. It provided a stunning backdrop to not only Kelsey + Mason at the sweetheart table, but the entire ballroom.
One of my favorite parts of a wedding day are when the couple sees the ballroom for the first time. Kelsey + Mason’s reactions were the icing on the cake that day. Seeing their faces light up at how the ballroom came together was so special.
The sweetest way to end a night is with a Pittsburgh Cookie Table, but Kelsey + Mason took it a step further by incorporating family recipe’s as keepsakes for guests. It was such a unique twist to the Pittsburgh Cookie Table + every guest left with at least one new recipe to try.
After dessert, the guests danced the night away to music from DJ Cake. It was such a joy to watch Kelsey + Mason celebrate their love with all of their friends + family on the dance floor.
